Publication of the document “ECB statistics: an overview”

The European Central Bank (ECB) will today publish a document entitled “ECB statistics: an overview”. It provides a single, accessible source of information on the statistics that the ECB, assisted by the national central banks of the European Union, develops, collects, compiles and disseminates as at end-2005. It also indicates which statistics are covered by ECB legal acts. The document updates a similar publication released in May 2000.

The document can be downloaded from the ECB’s website at http://www.ecb.europa.eu. The publication (released today in English) will be available in all 20 official Community languages in due course. Hard copies can be obtained by writing to the ECB’s Press and Information Division at the address below.
