Book on seasonal adjustment

Today the European Central Bank (ECB) has published a book entitled "Seasonal adjustment", containing the proceedings of a seminar of the same title, held in Frankfurt am Main on 12 November 2002.

The contributions of leading experts in the field address issues concerning the direct and indirect methods of seasonally-adjusting the time series and various tests to assess seasonal adjustments. The book also provides valuable insights on the optimal frequency of updating adjustment models and the issues raised by the seasonal adjustment of short time series.
