Visit by the President of Ireland

The President of Ireland, Mary McAleese, visited the European Central Bank (ECB) today. The President was accompanied by Dick Roche, Irish Minister for European Affairs, Bobby McDonagh, Irish Ambassador to the European Union, David Donoghue, Irish Ambassador to Germany and John Hurley, Governor of the Central Bank and Financial Services Authority of Ireland.

The President and her delegation met Jean-Claude Trichet, President of the ECB, as well as other members of the Executive Board, for an exchange of views on issues of mutual interest.
